We are looking for a Project Manager with experience of project management in the heavy engineering side of the mechanical engineering or construction industry to work for a company that delivers bespoke engineering solutions for complex offshore applications.

Exposure to the offshore oil and gas, submarine telecoms or offshore renewables industries would be beneficial but not essential. Bespoke engineering experience is vital

Candidates for the position of Project Manager (Mechanical or Construction) will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to interact with clients, the project team and senior management.

Strong commercial and contractual awareness will be required alongside leadership skills, motivation and the ability to delegate within the project team, company and partner organisations.

Fluency with MS Office and other standard software tools will be required.

The Project Management role will entail leading the delivery of challenging heavy engineering projects in a highly visible client-facing role.

The successful Project Manager (Oil & Gas) will be responsible for project execution within a demanding schedule and budget constraints in a market where safety, quality and environmental issues are of great importance.

The projects you would work on would range in duration up to 3 years, in value up to tens of millions of pounds and would involve multi-discipline engineering, global procurement and manufacture, commissioning and testing.

Extensive travel is likely.

You must be able to successfully manage bottom line performance and client relationships and will be responsible for driving the project through all phases ensuring that schedule, commercial and technical objectives are met.

This is a role for a focused and driven team player to work for a company that has clients across the offshore oil and gas, submarine telecoms and renewable offshore power industries. Their core expertise includes pipe and cable lay, subsea trenching and offshore handling and projects range from fully integrated vessel systems to the rapid supply of sub-systems.
