Cable Jointer - Waterlooville, Hampshire
Our client is based in the Hampshire area; they are currently looking for Electrical Cable Jointers (High and Low Voltage) for a permanent position.
This is a friendly and forward thinking company with great prospects for the future, they have won awards for the way in which they run their company and have a low turnover of staff. These roles are to form new teams due to increased work load.
Due to the level of training involved our client would require applicants to live within a commutable distance of their main site in Hampshire, or alternatively candidates should be willing to consider relocation. If relocating our client will assist with accommodation for a temporary period but eventual relocation would be at your own cost.
About the Role:-
In this role you will be involved in all aspects of electricity cable jointing. Installing and joining the lengths of power cable together Repairing power cables Connecting power cables to overhead lines or other parts of the electrical system Finding faults which may have developed through damage/weather Hours are Monday to Fridays 8am to 4pm/5pm
Requirements:-
Applicants must be qualified in Low and High Voltage jointing Applicants must have previous experience in a similar role A full UK driving licence is required for this position - company vehicle provided Knowledge of Consac cables Ideally you will have experience working on cables with aluminium conductors Must have good communication skills and able to work within a team This is a permanent role but you will need to pass a 2 day Trade Test (you will be reimbursed for your time)
