Job Description

My client, an international specialist in inspired retail interiors, retail designs and advanced retail equipment is looking for a dynamic and experienced Shopfittings Buyer to join a busy, passionate and proactive team.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for efficient and cost effective purchasing of bespoke joinery and metal work fixtures, within the required timescale.

The key responsibilities and aims of this role will include:-

* Source and Purchase bespoke Joinery and Metal work fixtures for projects.
* Ensure that all information on project brief has been captured.
* Manage projects effectively with the ability to identify any concerns before they arise and communicate these with the Purchasing Manager.
* Update Project Log daily and maintain clear communication to all departments, ensuring smooth completion of projects.
* Manage multi supplier projects through experience and knowledge within industry.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
* Deliver competitive costs, within required timescale.
* Achieve quarterly team cost savings against advised target.
* Ensure suppliers conform with service level agreements.
* Keep log sheets up to date.
* Carry out General Administration duties as required.

Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:-

* Previous Purchasing Experience within the Shopfitting Industry.
* Ability to read and understand Technical Drawings.
* Good sourcing and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and numerical skills.
* Excellent methodical/organisation skills.
* Computer Literate - Experience on Sage would be advantageous.
